Video: Interior Restoration Begins
This first phase of the Capitol’s interior restoration has begun, with work on House office space on the first floor and Senate space on the third floor.
This prerequisite phase is estimated to $7.2 million. It’s scheduled to be finished by the time lawmakers return in February. The work on the offices is being done now so that staff located in the basement can be relocated upstairs. Then work on the basement can begin.
